IBPS Clerk 2017 Exam


Every year IBPS (Institute of Banking Personnel Selection) conducts a written exam for clerical cadre for multiple banks (Almost 19) for different places all over the India. Today, I will provide you some important details regarding IBPS clerk exam Like how to apply for exam, application dates, from where we can get latest materials, total vacancy, syllabus, sites to prefer for the exam, application fees...!

Many of my friends were asking me about what it means for IBPS Clerk CWE VII. It (VII) means that this would be seventh year of clerical cadre exam by IBPS.

This exam mainly divided into two phases, Preliminary and mains. To qualify for this post, student has to clear both the exams.

Online Registration Dates
Online registration has already been started from 12th September 2017 and last date to apply online would be 3rd October 2017.

Tentative Exam Dates

  • Preliminary Exam - 2nd, 3rd, 9th and 10th December 2017
  • Main Exam - 21st January 2018
  • Result Declaration - 1st April 2018
Student has to choose the exam centre while filling the online application form. Make sure you decide first which place would be fine for you and what is nearest to your hometown and convenient for travelling.

Candidates are required to qualify for both these exams in order to get this post.

Important thing to note, No Interview Process Required for IBPS Clerk Exam. So do best practice from syllabus and from given below material links. Trust me it's easy when you put your best efforts to crack the exam. All the best!!

Phase-1 Preliminary Examination

1 hour will given to solve the question paper, which contains question from aptitude, intellect and English. One must have to clear the cut off in each section for further exam that is mains.
  1. English Language - 30 Questions - 30 Marks
  2. Numerical Ability - 35 Questions - 35 Marks
  3. Reasoning Ability - 35 Questions - 35 Marks
Composite time duration of 1 hour only. Total 100 questions and 100 marks. Each year passing marks decided based on difficulty level of the exam.

Phase-2 Mains Examination

Eligibility Criteria
The candidate must be age of 20 years to 28 years. Minimum qualification graduation. Candidate should have passed English as a subject in SSC / HSC Or at graduation level. 



Tomorrow 3rd October is the last date to complete the formality of Common Recruitment Process for Recruitment of Clerical Cadre 2017.
